BALI : 29 September to 13 October 2021Bali is Indonesia’s most popular dive destination. We fly to Bali via Singapore. From the airport we transfer to Tulamben. Tulamben is a small town located in the northeast of the island and 2,5 hours drive from the airport.
We stay at MinaBali/ToyaBali guesthouses (depending on our group size) in Tulamben. All accommodation is en-suite. Close by are such tourist attractions as Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga, Virgin Beach & Mount Batur. Exploring this area with a scooter is great fun but can also be done by vehicle with a guide.
After spending a couple of days diving in Menjangan, Seraya, Ahmed and Tulamben we transfer to the island of Lembongan with mini bus and speedboat. We stay in the Palm Grove Villas on the island. Accommodation will be in en-suite pool view rooms.
THE PALM GROVE VILLAS
Restaurants, bars, shops, beaches and other tourist attractions are in close proximity of the hotel. The island has beautiful mangroves and can be explored by scooter or island transport. The next door island Ceningan is connected by a bridge. There are lots of waterfront restaurants and beautiful beaches.
The underwater world of Bali varies from deep drop-offs & banks, coral ridges, volcanic outcrops to sea grass beds. It has a diverse range of marine life as well as some very famous wrecks. Fish species in this area are hairy frogfish, mola mola (sunfish), manta rays, mandarin fish, cockatoo leaf fish & pygmy seahorses. Lots of weird and wonderful creatures. Tulamben is famous for the Liberty wreck, sharks & bump head parrotfish. It’s an underwater photographers paradise.
We spend the last two days of the trip in the Canggu area (Sense Hotel) and visit Ubud which is well known for its crafts, art & more beautiful ornated temples, Tegalalang rice terraces, sample some Luwak coffee, visit Goa Gajan (elephant cave), shop for silver and other souvenirs.
We will also visit Tanah Lot which is a well known temple on a small island surrounded by water and is cut off during high tides from the main land. There are more shopping opportunities in this area.
